The Moves
A'ight, so you wanna know how to use Misuzu's attacks, huh?
Well, then you just came to the right readme, because boy/girl, I'm gonna teach you everything about Misuzu's moves. What they do, how they act, and even their family members. Some of them got hot sisters, too! :D
B = Back
DB = DownBack
D = Down
DF = DownForward
F = Forward
UF = UpForward
U = Up
UB = UpBack
Reinforcement Guage
This is that bar that fills up on it's own. At first, it will fill with dark blue, but when it fills up, the bar empties, and the color of the bar changes to red. Once the red fills up, it becomes flashing blue, and will remain full until you either use a reinforced special attack, or get hit. When the later happens, you'll lose a little bit of the bar, however, when you use a reinforced special attack, it will drain 25% of the bar. Also, if the bar is still red, and you use a reinforced special attack, it will turn dark blue, meaning it needs to fill up again to turn red. If the bar is dark blue, you cannot use reinforced special attacks. If you try to, it will instead make you use a “medium” special attack. Keep an eye on this bar, because it kicks ass.
Instant Charge
This is a move that allows you to cancel out of an attack. Not ALL attacks can be cancelled out of, and most of them can only be cancelled out of after your attack makes contact with the foe. This is useful for removing openings, or extending combos. This requires the reinforcement guage to be in the red or flashing blue, and will drain it completely back to dark blue.
Command: D, D + Button 3
In Kanna Mode, you can alternatively use this command:
Command: D, D + Button 6
Power Bar
This is the bar that fills when Misuzu attacks. If the foe is hit with the attack, more power is gained. To use Eternity Specials, Misuzu needs a certain amount of power. The stronger the Eternity Special, the more power required. The more full the bar is, the more power you have. A number next to the power bar displays how much power you have in thousands (If it says “1”, then you have 1000 more more power).
Eternity Special
An Eternity Special is a special kind of attack that requires power to use. The higher level the Special, the more power required. For example, to use Misuzu's Level 2 Gao Gao Fire Eternity Special, she needs 2000 power.
Final Memory
A Final memory is an Eternity Special that can only be used when Misuzu's health is at low health. Normal Misuzu's Final Memory is Mother's Poem. Misuzu_M's Final Memory is Echoing Skies (however, you can set it in the config file so it doesn't require you to have low health to use). Misuzu also possesses Kanna's Final Memory, Bird's Poem
Curse
Misuzu is able to curse her foes with certain attacks. While the foe is cursed, a bar shows up on Misuzu's side, which determines how long the curse will remain. In addtion, the foe passively takes damage (assuming you listened to one of the other readmes explaining how to make this work). The level of curse is determined by how many times the foe is hit with the lump of misfortune (Or the Misuzu Chin's in a pinch Eternity Special) before the bar runs out. The maximum level of curse is Level 5. The higher the curse level, the more damage the foe takes. To break the curse, the foe needs to land a hit on Misuzu (way to make someone want to hurt the girl I love! ;_; ), so expect some foes to become more aggressive to get that desperate hit in, which is good for you, since Misuzu > Overagressiveness.
Fate Feather
Some Eternity Specials don't need power to use, but instead require a Fate Feather. For Misuzu to get a Fate Feather, she must perform the Eternity Special Fate.
Button 1
This is the button that makes Misuzu do her weak punch when standing, or in a more general term, the “weak attack”. Why the hell she punches is beyond me, I mean, why not throw an anvil? It makes more sense! Um... Anyways, this button is also known as the “A” button in Mugen, it's whatever button you may have asigned as the A button in the Mugen options menu
Button 2
This is the “Medium attack” button. I like to call him “Samuel”... You're probably asking how I know it's a him. It's a long story. >.>' AKA, the “B” Button
Button 3
3 is a weird number. It looks like the outline of a butt, or a w turned on it's side. Also known as the strong attack button. Ending a motion with this will make you do a Reinforced attack. See Reinforcement Guage for details. This is also used to Instant Charge
NOTE: When Button 3 is used for special attacks, it will “reinforce them” if your reinforcement guage is in the red, or flashing blue. Otherwise, it'll do the same thing as if you used Button 2 at the end.
Button 4
This button has many purposes, but will only be usable when you have Kanna mode set ON in the config.txt file. When Kanna mode is set ON, this serves the same purpose as Button 1, but will also use one of Kanna's special attacks and Eternity Specials instead of Misuzu's. Even when Misuzu_M mode is activated, this serves the same purpose as long as Kanna Mode is also set ON.
Button 5
This button is the most complex button. It serves no purpose in Normal Misuzu Mode, however, in Kanna Mode (WITHOUT Misuzu_M mode), it serves as Button 2, and like Button 4, will use Kanna's special attacks and Eternity Specials instead of Misuzu's. If you have Misuzu_M mode on, then only the Eternity Specials will still be usable if you have Kanna Mode set ON. In Misuzu_M mode, you are given access to multiple different move, such as the Burst, and the Super Reversal. Even if you aren't in Misuzu_M mode, the difference between Kanna's Medium specials and Weak specials is absolutely none (unless I'm missing something)
Button 6
Another multi purpose button, but is only of any use in Kanna mode or Misuzu_M mode. In Kanna mode, it acts like button 3, but like button 4 and 5, uses Kanna's specials and Eternity Specials as well. Also, all specials will be reinforced (see Reinforcement Guage for details). In Misuzu_M mode, you still have access to the Kanna mode Eternity Specials (assuming you still have Kanna mode set ON), but none of the other Kanna mode moves remain. Also, this button is used for certain Misuzu_M exclusive Eternity Specials when you have a fate feather.
And now for the moves...
Notes:
The commands assume Misuzu is facing towards the right, so g means forward, f means backwards, and so on.
Overhead FlagPole
Misuzu does a short hop, holding a large flagpole, and when she lands, she crashes it down. This move cannot be guarded while crouching, so it's good for playing with the foe's guard.
Command: F + Button 3
In Kanna Mode, you can alternatively use this command:
Command: F + Button 6
Specials
Picture Diary
Misuzu writes on the ground, creating an invisible trap. When the foe is close to it, someone pops out of the book and hits them. If Misuzu is hit before the book opens, or much time passes, it disappears.
Command: D, DF, F + Attack Button
A Button Version: When the foe comes close, a pop up drawing of Misuzu jumps out of the book.
B Button Version: When the foe comes close, a pop up drawing of Haruko jumps out of the book. There is no real difference between the A version and the B version
C Button Version: When the foe comes close, a pop up drawing of Misuzu and Haruko holding hands jumps out of the book. It deals more damage, knocks the foe higher, and will not dissappear if Misuzu is hit.
Wings
Misuzu hops forward and swings her wings in front of her, hitting the foe.
Command: F, D, DF + Attack Button
A Button Version: Misuzu quickly swings her wings right when she hops. Mostly good for ending basic combos
B Button Version: There is a short time between when Misuzu hops, and when she swings. This version is useful for starting up block strings. Cannot be chained into
C Button Version: Like the A Button Version, except it can potentially make the foe bounce off the edge of the screen, allowing Misuzu to continue a combo. This move won't hit if it's already been used in the same combo.
Rich and Pulpy
Misuzu plants a pulp juice bomb (?) in mid air above her, which is an invisible trap. If the foe is in the air and comes close, the trap will explode. If the trap is hit or stays for too long, it disappears.
Command: D, DB, B + Attack Button
A Button & B Button Versions: Exactly the same
C Button Version: The only real difference besides doing more damage and stunning the opponent for a longer amount of time is that it cannot be destroyed by hitting.
Lump Of Misfortune
Misuzu shows her wings, which start to glow, and they generate a shining orb of light, which travels to a certain spot on the field then starts to move in a certain direction, and will curse the foe if it hits them without them guarding. If Misuzu is hit, or it stays for too long, it disappears. They also dissappear if Misuzu uses this move again.
Command: B, D, DB + Attack Button
A Button Version: The light orb will go upforwards until it reaches a certain distance, or when it's directly above the foe. If the foe is too close, it will travel offsreen instead of appearing directly above it. Useful espcially when the foe is in the air.
B Button Version: The light orb travels forwards, behind the foe and then starts to slowly move backwards. Much more useful than the A button version since it's likely to draw most foes forward.
C Button Version: Like the A Button Version, except it creates two light orbs instead of one. It kind of sucks, mostly because it requires reinforcement to use, and still isn't as good as the B Button Version for the most part.
Sora
Misuzu sends her crow, Sora forwards to attack. Even if Misuzu gets hit, as long as she points her arms forward before getting hit, Sora will still charge. Sora must be close enough for this to be used. If Misuzu has a Fate Feather, she will Use the Eternity Special, Yukito instead.
Command: B, DB, D, DF, F + Attack Button
A Button Version: Sora moves down a little bit before charging forward.
B Button Version: Sora Charges forwards without moving down a little bit.
C Button Version: Sora Charges forwards in a drill like light that sets the foe on fire if it hits. It goes a little downwards while charging, and generally sucks because of that.
Eternity Specials
Gao Gao Fire
Misuzu creates a dinosaur out of thin air (What the...?) which then breathes fire before disappearing.
Command: D, DF, F, D, DF, F + Attack Button
Level 1 Version: Misuzu summons a stegasaurus, which breathes fire at the foe. DO NOT USE WHEN THE FOE IS REALLY CLOSE, it'll miss them completely. The fire is short ranged.
Level 2 Version: Misuzu summons a Pteorodactyl to breathe fire at the foe (Seriously, how does she create these dinos, and HOW COME THEY CAN BREATHE FIRE?). Although it deals more damage, it doesn't deal THAT much more, making it not worth using unless the foe is low enough in health that the Level 1 version won't finish them off, and you desperately need that extra damage. However, if you need another reason to use this over the Level 1, the range spans off screen.
Level 3 Version: Misuzu summons a REALLY big dinosaur to breathe fire at the foe. It deals a hell of a lot of damage thankfully, but it's really risky to use, since the fire's direction goes from down to forward, then up...ish, which means that as the remaining fire's going upwards, you're open for getting your butt kicked. Be careful when you pull out the big boy.
Misuzu Chin's In a Pinch
Awww.. Misuzu holds her head back in fear, closing her eyes. If the foe hits her while she's doing this, she explodes, and upon hitting the foe (It won't hit the foe if they hit her from too far away) deals damage and curses them... then Misuzu jumps out of the ground, all happy and stuff. Wait... What the hell just happened? MISUZU PLANNED THIS! SHE'S AN EVIL GENIUS, I TELL YOU!!
Command: D, DB, B, D, DB, B + Attack Button
Level 1 Version: If it hits the foe, it deals damage and it adds one level to their curse.
Level 2 Version: 3 levels of curse
Level 3 Version: 5 levels (Maximum) of curse.
Fate
Misuzu prays (?) and gains a Fate Feather. Be careful of when you use this, because if the foe hits you before you gain a Fate Feather, you won't gain one.
Command: B, F, DF, D, DB, B + Attack Button
Level 1: Misuzu Gains one Fate Feather
Level 2: ...Two Fate Feathers
Level 3: ...Three
NOTE: I gotta fix this, because in EFZ, there's no level 2 or 3 version.
Yukito
Misuzu Summons Yukito to do an attack. Requires a Fate Feather to use. Misuzu cannot use Sora while Yukito is attacking.
Command: B, DB, D, DF, F + Attack Button
A Button Version: Yukito appears in front of Misuzu and squeezes pulp juice, which will damage the foe and keep them stunned for a while. Allows for continued comboing.
B Button Version: Yukito appears in front of Misuzu, pulls of out Potatoe (Kano's Dog), and kicks it forwards. This thing is a monster damage dealer. If you use this at the end of a basic combo before using Wings, then do an instant charge, and use the flag pole on the foe, this move will hit, and allow you to continue your combo, dealing INSANE damage.
C Button Version: OH NOEZ! Yukito's gone Shoto! Yukito appears and does a SHORYUKEN! Good for Anti-Air, and can start air combos if used skillfully enough.
Mother's Poem
Misuzu's Final Memory, and the most epic EFZ move! Misuzu focuses her power for a short moment. Once the super pause activates, the opponent is completely immobile. After the flash of light, Misuzu is seen with short hair, pink clothing, and holding a dinosaur doll. The song, Aozora from AIR plays in the background.
Anyways, after we see Misuzu in her pink clothes, she takes three steps forward. On the final step, if she lands on the opponent, some japanese text shows up on screen (I might need to translate this to english if I can figure out what it means). After the text, Misuzu is seen, back with her long hair and black school uniform dress flowing, and the opponent is seen on the ground. This move is unguardable, so if the opponent hasn't moved out of the way or jumped before the super pause, they're pretty much screwed.
This move takes off EXACTLY 50% of the opponent's maximum health, no matter how much defense and life they have. It ignores ALL damage scaling. If the opponent has 9200 health and 1000 defense, this move will STILL take off 50% of their total health, which would be 4600... Yeah, that's monstrous damage right there. For some cheap characters, using this move is gonna be of good use.
If you miss with this move, Misuzu will be left open for attack before she gets back up on her feet, so be careful when you use it.
Command: Button 1 twice + D + Button 2 + Button 3
Kanna Mode Misuzu Specials and Eternity Specials
Notes:
The commands assume Misuzu is facing towards the right, so g means forward, f means backwards, and so on.
Specials
Kusanagi's Blade of Light
Misuzu blasts a beam of light in front of her. Unbelievable range, and comes out quick.
Command: D, DF, F + Kanna Attack Button
X Button & Y Button Versions: They're both the same exact thing =\
Z Button Verion: Holy crap! That beam of light takes up more than half the screen, comes out even QUICKER, deals more damage, and even makes the foe bounce off the edge of the screen almost GUARENTEEABLY.
Stone of the Heaven-Revering Moon
Misuzu punches the ground, causing a stone pillar to pop up out of it.
Command: D, DB, B + Kanna Attack Button
X Button Version: The Stone appears close to Misuzu
Y Button Version: The Stone appears further from Misuzu
Z Button Version: This doesn't need reinforcement by the way, and the stone appears very far from Misuzu.
Celestial Hawk's Bow
Misuzu blasts an arrow of light out of her finger. The arrow slows down slighty shortly after being blasted.
Command: B, DB, D, DF, F + Kanna Attack Button
X Button & Y Button Versions: Both the same
Z Button Version: Instead of one arrow of light, Misuzu blasts four orbs of light that will move backwards a little bit, then home in on the foe.
Sky-Soaring Double Spiral
Misuzu does a small jump, and spins in the air, which can damage the foe. Misuzu is invincibile during the first few frames of this attack. It's kind of like a shoryuken in a way, except Misuzu doesn't move forwards a little during the move.
Command: F, D, DF + Kanna Attack Button
X Button & Y Button Versions: Exactly the same
Z Button Version: Jeez, this is really cheap. Not only does it make Misuzu invincibile for much longer, but it hits more times, dealing more damage, and you can just spam this attack until your Reinforcement Gauge is dark blue, and that on it's own is a powerful combo.
Lump Of Misfortune
Kanna never actually had this move. Misuzu shows her wings, which start to glow, and-... Wait, Didn't I mention this move before? Oh wait, this variation of the attack is different. The Lump doesn't travel to a certain point and start moving, but instead is immediately able to harm the opponent, will always start right above Misuzu, and has different moving patterns. Also, These orbs are considered “separate” from Misuzu's normal ones, so they won't dissappear if you use the other version (However, they will dissappear if you use this version of the move again. Using this version of the move doesn't effect the Misuzu version whatsoever though).
Command: B, D, DB + Kanna Attack Button
X Button Version: The orb will float in the upper half of the screen, moving forwards. I suppose this is useful for limiting the opponent's movement in the air.
Y Button Version: Much more annoying, since it's like the X button version, but will also steadily move downwards to the lower half of the screen.
Z Button Version: Like the X Button version, but two orbs are generated, and one moves faster than the other.
Eternity Specials
Note: All of the Kanna Mode Eternity Specials require FULL POWER to use, and there's a good reason why, they all hurt like hell.
Treasured Sword of Seven Branches
Misuzu summons a storm of feathers to damage the foe. This super spans the entire screen, but has long lag time, some chances are, the foe is gonna block this. If it DOES connect though... Whoa, the damage is insane.
Command: D, DF, F, D, DF, F + Button 4
Sword Of Unbound Silver
Misuzu's wings turn into swords, which then flap from up to down, damaging nearby foes. Wow, that's pretty badass! This move can only be down in mid air.
Command: D, DF, F, D, DF, F + Button 5
Raging Heavens of Konohana
Misuzu levitates above the ground, and feiry spears pop out of the ground, damaging any opponent who comes in contact. Damn, this move looks intimidating.
Command: D, DF, F, D, DF, F + Button 5
Bird's Poem
Kanna's Final Memory. If this move hits the opponent, they will be launched into the air, Misuzu's wings will become gigantic, and she will be covered with a blue aura shaped like a bird. She then flies up towards the foe, and on contact, deals MASSIVE damage. Also, Misuzu is invincible during it's start up. It's slightly stronger than Mother's Poem against foes with normal stats, but since it doesn't deal a fixed percentage of health, it will likely do less damage to foes with higher defense and Life stats. If the foe guards this, it will do a very VERY small amount of damage.
Command: D, DF, F, D, DF, F + Button 6
Misuzu_M Mode Specials and Eternity Specials
Note: Misuzu_M has access to all of Normal Misuzu's moves. With Kanna mode set ON, Misuzu_M will also be abl to use some of Kanna's moves too.

Light Orb
Misuzu creates an orb of light, similar to the Lump Of Misfortune, however, they work completely different. These orbs move to a certain point, then explode, hitting the opponent multiple times. These help start combos. They can only be used while in the air.
Command: D, DB, B + Kanna Attack Button
X Button Version: The orb travels a short distance before exploding
Y Button Version: The orb travels a long distance before exploding
Z Button Version: A combination of X and Y, but a third light orb is sent upwards to explode.
Dino Fire Summon
Misuzu summons a Dinosaur to breathe a stream of fire. Even if Misuzu is hit, the Dinosaur will continue attacking.
Command: F, DF, D, DB, B+ Kanna Attack Button
X Button Version: The Dinosaur appears in front of Misuzu
Y Button Version: The Dinosaur appears a long distance away from misuzu, and blows towards her.
Z Button Version: A combination of X and Y. The Opponent will be blown towards Misuzu if it hits.
Ice Pillar
Misuzu plants an ice bomb in the ground, which then blows up, creating a pillar of ice.
Command: D, D + Kanna Attack Button
X Button Version: The ice bomb quickly explodes, creating the ice pillar quickly. Great for Anti-Air
Y Button Version: The Ice bomb takes some time to explode, which means that you can attack the opponent before so happens. If they try to attack you before the bomb explodes, and they are nearby, they'll probably get hit.
Z Button Version: Like the Y button version, except unguardable.
Eternity Specials
Bahamut
Misuzu holds her hands together, and after the super pause, an explosion occurs. If the opponent is hit with this succesfully, Misuzu will summon Bahamut to CHARGE HIS LASAH!!! This deals lots of damage, but requires Misuzu to have 5000 power! Yikes!
Command: D, DB, B + Button 3 and Button 6 simulataneously
Echoing Skies
Misuzu_M's Final Memory. Er... I won't explain it, but if you hit with this move, it's an Instant Knock Out.
Command: D, DF, F + Button 3 and Button 6 simulataneously
Magical Misuzu Clone
Misuzu draws a picture of herself in her diary. He Drawing comes to life and becomes a ghostly Misuzu clone that attacks whenever the foe comes close. This requires the use of a Fate Feather.
Command: D, DF, F + Button 6
Poke Of Doom
Misuzu sticks her finger forward. If this comes in contact with the foe, it steals health. It is unguardable, and requires the use of a Fate Feather.
Command: D, DB, B + Button 6
